The California Mass Timber Coalition (CMTC) was created to support the establishment of an in-state mass timber industry, advancing manufacturing and climate-smart construction with the goal of building resilient communities and advancing California’s forest health goals and climate initiatives.

The CMTC brings together diverse public, private, and NGO stakeholders - including state and federal agencies - to promote policies, regulations, investments, education, and market development to accelerate the responsible development and use of mass timber throughout California. By fostering collaboration across the entire mass timber supply chain, the CMTC seeks to position California as a national leader in forest-based climate solutions and sustainable construction.
